Grill Won’t Light
If your Viking grill won’t light, there are a few things you can check:
- Make sure the grill is turned on. This may seem obvious, but it’s easy to forget to turn on the gas valve or power switch.
- Check the propane tank. If the tank is empty, your grill won’t light.
- Clean the burners. Clogged or dirty burners can prevent the grill from lighting. Remove the burners and clean them with a wire brush.
- Inspect the igniters. If the igniters are dirty or damaged, they won’t be able to ignite the gas. Clean the igniters with a wire brush and replace them if they are damaged.
Grill Doesn’t Heat Evenly
If your Viking grill isn’t heating evenly, there are a few things you can check:
- Make sure the burners are clean. Clogged or dirty burners can prevent the grill from heating evenly. Remove the burners and clean them with a wire brush.
- Check the air vents. Make sure the air vents are open and not obstructed.
- Inspect the flame tamers. If the flame tamers are damaged or missing, they can cause the grill to heat unevenly. Replace any damaged or missing flame tamers.
Grill Flames Are too High or too Low
If the flames on your Viking grill are too high or too low, you can adjust the gas pressure. To do this, locate the gas regulator on the grill and turn it clockwise to increase the gas pressure or counterclockwise to decrease the gas pressure.
Grill Produces Too Much Smoke
If your Viking grill is producing too much smoke, there are a few things you can check:
- Make sure the grill is clean. Grease and food buildup on the grill can cause it to smoke. Clean the grill regularly with a wire brush and grill cleaner.
- Check the air vents. Make sure the air vents are open and not obstructed.
- Inspect the flame tamers. If the flame tamers are damaged or missing, they can cause the grill to smoke. Replace any damaged or missing flame tamers.
Grill Won’t Turn Off
If your Viking grill won’t turn off, there are a few things you can check:
- Make sure the gas valve is turned off.
- Inspect the gas line. If the gas line is damaged, it could be leaking gas. Replace any damaged gas lines immediately.
- If you’ve checked the gas valve and gas line and the grill is still not turning off, you may need to call a qualified technician to repair the grill.
